TransHajar MTB Race 2012

Four days of enthralling racing has come to an end. 

55 mtb riders took to the start line to take on the challenging and picturesque terrain of Oman's Jabal al Hajar mountains. 

And they were not dissappointed!

We were privileged to have a high calibre of athlete take part.  There were semi-professionals and ex-world champions in the mix, and the lead was hotly contested over the 4 days.

In the men's field, it was the Dutchman, Rob Barel who ultimately took the coveted men's first place trophy followed closely by the two Spaniards, Luis Rodriguez in second and Mario Gondillo in third place.

In the ladies field, Rachael Clough of Dubai proved dominant over Nepal's Nirjala Tamraker to take the ladies first place trophy.
